People Counting
Protrax® COUNT is a completely automated package for reliable, fast and efficient census taking in public areas such as shopping malls and sports venues.
It can carry out simultaneous multi-zone people counting from multiple cameras. The system bidirectionally counts moving targets in defined zones in real time. The generated data is stored locally and can be collected via a modem or network, or displayed graphically using an on-board reporting suite. Data can be exported to almost any third party Windows software, including Excel or Access. The system can utilize input from most existing camera types, at camera angles of 45-90° from horizontal, both indoors and out.
Protrax® COUNT is currently installed in many prestigious UK and overseas retail outlets where it is used as a cost effective means to monitor entrance popularity, to provide reliable and timely flow information, to compare traffic changes related to market events, to determine car park turnover and as a leasing tool.
